PARIS 2O17

The TY and fifth years students this year had the opportunity to go to Paris.

Day 1: We left the school at 2:30am and arrived to the airport at 4am and departed Terminal 2 at 7am and arrived into the Paris airport ar 9:30am we collected our bags and made our way to the bus that we were being transported on from day to day, we headed straight into Paris and stopped of at the Notre Dame as it is very famous and a beautiful site and after we were given our own personal bus tour throughout Paris it was amazing and very educational. We stopped of at the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower both sites were magnificent. Later on we shopped on the champs elysees and then dined in one of the restaurants. We then travelled back by bus to the hotel and got our key numbers and lights out were at 10:30pm.

Day 2:  On day two of our French trip we had to be down for breakfast at a quarter past nine. This was our first morning to have breakfast in the hotel. It was a continental style breakfast and we could eat as much as we wanted. There was coffee and juices available to drink , and food including cereals, croissants, bread, other pastries, and fruit available to eat. Our first destination was the louvre. Here we were allowed around the louvre to look at the art. Here we saw pieces such as ‘The Mona Lisa’ and the ‘Venus de milo’ . After this we went to a shopping centre, where we shopped in shops such as Nike, Calvin Klein and forever 21. This is where most of us got our lunch. After this we travelled to the champ elysees where we had dinner in ‘Pizza Pino’. We had the choice of marguerite pizza or pasta. We also had dessert of ice cream or chocolate mousse. We then made our way to the Eiffel tour , we went up to the second floor. The views were spectacular. We stayed there for an hour and then travelled back to the hotel.  

Day 3:  On the third day we all went to Disneyland. We arrived at the park at twelve o’clock and first we went to adventure isle where we went on ‘big thunder mountain’ which is recommended as a ‘not to be missed’ roller coaster. We then went on the ‘Indiana Jones’ ride which went upside down and in a loop, it was one of the best rides throughout the day. We then went to Buzz light-year laser blast, small world, crush’s coaster, ratatouille and many more. We also met characters throughout the day and got pictures with Minnie and mickey mouse. Also we went in and out of many of the different themed stores. We watched the Disney parade at half five and not long after that we all went for dinner in Planet Hollywood where we had the choice of a different range of burgers. After dinner we browsed through the shops until the firework show at half eight. And at nine o’clock we all met outside the Disneyland Hotel, walked to the bus and went back to our hotel. We arrived back to the hotel and had to pack our bags as we were leaving the next morning and lights out were at eleven.

Day 4: After breakfast, we packed our bags into the bus and went into the city. We then went on an hour long boat tour on the River Seine. After the boat tour we went shopping and had lunch. After lunch we went to the airport. Our flight was at 8:30pm We landed in Dublin and got the bus back to Mullingar. It was a trip of a lifetime.
